I have been collecting, wearing, buying, selling and generally just surrounding myself with vintage textiles and associated trappings since the early 1990´s. Over the years I have sold my vintage clothing at festivals (cold and muddy) and fairs (still cold, not so muddy), and through rented space in antiques centres alongside various pieces of 20th century design related paraphernalia I´ve also accumulated on my travels. I never actually intended to make a career of it; I just needed a way to find the money to buy more.
Thanks to the magic of the internet I began selling vintage on eBay UK in 2002, and was able to stay warm - which was quite a blessing. I liked that a lot, so in April 2006 tastyvintage.com was launched.
The items I offer for sale through the website are carefully chosen, and over the years have tried to use it as a showcase for my favourite finds. I really try my best to offer only pieces in immediately wearable condition, and I use my judgement when it comes to cleaning and professionally repairing my stock - any processes it has been through since it came into my hands will be noted in the description.
My unintentional business also expanded from the website into a vintage boutique, which opened here in Lincolnshire in December 2007 . We opened in larger premises at 9, Steep Hill, Lincoln in September 2009 - see contact page for details.
I am a member of the Vintage Fashion Guild and many of the pieces of label information you will find in my descriptions are courtesy of their label resource. If you have any questions - or information - about items I am selling I am always happy to hear from you.
